Scott Gwilt of the Rome Sentinel modestly explains that he "was lucky enough to capture the moment."  I believe this is one of the best pictorials I have ever seen.  (But of course, how can you go wrong with such a photogenic pooch?)

ONE LUCKY DOG
Singed and scared, "Tess"  is cradled in the arms of Police Sgt. Kenneth White after the pet Yorkshire Terrier emerged from the fire-ravaged apartment building on North George Street moments before it was demolished Monday afternoon.
