DogDoo Sells for $25,000

April 21, 2001 California, USA

Calling all entre-poo-neurs, here's your big chance.  DogDoo.com is for sale, now considering all offers of $25,000 (USD) or more.

This bizarre, internet-based venture, which operates anonymously out of "a small town in California", has been serving the public since 1999, causing all manners of mischief and malodorous, mail-order mayhem.

Their service?  For as little as $15 (USD), Dogdoo.com will deliver a small package of dog poop to:

  • Your ex-husband/ex-wife
  • Your accountant
  • Relatives
  • Teachers (or students?)
  • the IRS
  • Rival sports teams
  • Parliament
  • Microsoft

or anyone else you'd like to play a practical joke on.  Of course, one of the favorites is:

  • the neighbor's dog (touché!)

If one really wants to send "the gift that keeps on giving", one might want to spend the extra $20 for the PooPoo Grande, "an amazing 2 pounds", complete with delivery confirmation.

PooPoo Grande comes courtesy of Buster, a 110-lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback, shown hard at work below.

DogDoo.com prides itself in offering perhaps the only peaceful form of retribution that offers true satisfaction.  "We take the violence out of revenge," they say.

Under their Commitment to Non-Violence, the company clearly states:

"Our policy is not to send any package with a questionable message such as threats to a person's life... You may NOT use our services to violate a legal restraint or as an event in a sequence of events that would constitute harassment. This is a novelty service for the purpose of entertainment only."

All parcels are heat-sealed in a polypropylene bag, "tastefully cradled in a bed of tissue paper," with or without gift-wrapping.

DogDoo.com has sent packages to every corner of the world, primarily in the United States, Germany, Poland and the UK.  They have reported profits every month since the inception August 1, 1999.

You may contact them with further inquiries at CustomerService@DogDoo.com.

UPDATE May 16, 2001
It appears that the DogDoo.com website has suddenly and mysteriously gone off-line.  We sincerely hope that they didn't have some terrible, explosive "accident" at the shipping plant.
