BALTIMORE, MD — Last night the Baltimore City Council held its vote on whether or not to enact a "Dangerous Breed Ban" which would result in the outlaw of Pit Bull Dogs and the consequent destruction of all stray Pits found in the city of Baltimore.
In recent months, breed-specific legislation (a.k.a. BSL) has been becoming increas— Ok, already. I'll tell you the results: it was 10-8 against the ban. The dogs won.
The victory was the result of a last-minute change of heart by two council members, Council President Sheila Dixon and Vice President Stephanie Rawlings Blake, who shifted the majority contrary to last week's 11-8 support of the ban (one other yea-ban voter was not present last night).

After the results of the vote were announced, a balcony-full of dog-lovers stood and cheered, thrusting their arms into the air. Editor's note: All of the beauties you see pictured in this article are Pit Bulls available for adoption, through www.badrap.org (Bay Area, CA).
