Put it all together with a litter of
newborn puppies who are willing to share, and we have today's headline.
Earlier this month at the Belgrade Zoo, a
mother tiger who was possibly suffering from postpartum psychosis—or maybe
a just severe case of the munchies—tried to eat her own tiger cubs. Zoo
handlers were apparently able to rescue all of the cubs safely, according
to an AP news report.
Enter "Rea" and her accommodating
puppies. When the Serbian police learned of the situation, they sent
their most versatile police dog to the zoo to contain the situation.
Rea went right to work on her new assignment: rearing tiger cubs.

The AP article reports that the zoo, in
gratitude, honored Rea's police team by naming one of the newborn tigers "SAJ"
which stands for "Special Anti-terrorist Units", the name given
to the Serbian police crack squad.
As for the slightly confused tiger
cubs, true, tigers generally do not subscribe to the philosophy of
socializing with dogs; but in this particular case, they seem more than
willing to accept a new and unconventional dogma.
Get it? Dog ma.
