"Cricket", a brown and white Chihuahua from Utah, is
poised to deliver six puppies any day now, says her
veterinarian. A recent x-ray showed six spines in her belly,
indicating that she may soon be the new Guinness World Record setter
for the most puppies born to a dog of her breed (the current
Chihuahua record is five).
Doctors told ABC
7 that the wee ones will probably be the size of half a
tootsie roll when they're born.

Records states that a Foxhound mix named "Lena" gave
birth to 23 healthy pups in 1944. (Phew, she's lucky she didn't get
fined for littering).
